The Chester & District Junior Football League have introduced the FA Powerplay Rule for the 2023/24 season as per the FA Standard Code of Rules 20 (F)

5 v 5 - Under 7 and Under 8
7 v 7 - Under 9 and Under 10

As per the FA rules, the league does not publish results for any development fixtures but requires results to be reported to the league by both teams for development group grading for the future.

To ensure an imbalance in ability does not spoil this, the FA approved ‘Power Play’ for Mini Soccer has been adopted by the CDJFL for the 2023/24 season.
