SHERWOOD COLLIERY kept up their 100% start to the season thanks to a 90th minute winner from Liam Hearn after coming back three times in a thrilling game at HEANOR TOWN. Skipper for the day Max Thornberry put the Lions in front with a 7th minute header. Tim Gregory levelled six minutes later. Scott Taylor tickled Heanor back in front on 17 only for Kieran Wells to restore parity on 34 minutes to send the teams in level at the break. Lewis Weaver’s free kick made it 3-2 to the Lions on 58 and Charlie Taylor levelled things up again on 72. It looked like both teams would get a point until Liam Hearn’s late winner.
BELPER UNITED moved up into second place with a four goal first half against visiting GEDLING MINERS WELFARE. Martin Smyth put them ahead on three minutes and further goals were added by Richard Hanslow’s third of the week five minutes later, Dylan Garnett on 28 and John Guy three minutes before the interval. Rueben Wiggins-Thomas had pulled one back for the Miners on 31 but they had to wait until two minutes from the end for Steve Brett to get them a second consolation.
CLIFTON ALL WHITES hit third spot thanks to a 3-0 win over CLIPSTONE with, like Belper, all the goals coming in the first half. Ryan Smith got the first twenty minutes in; Kyle Stovell added a second on 35 minutes and Jake Richardson got the third on the stroke of half time.
BARROW TOWN stay pointless and still at the bottom after suffering a 5-0 reverse at KIMBERLEY MINERS WELFARE. Nathan Banton and Isaac Stones scored the goals which sent the Stags in at the break two goals to the good. Sam Brown got a third 20 minutes into the second half and Luis Parkes added the fourth on 78. Substitute Carl Okojie completed the nap hand in the last minute.
It ended all square at WEST BRIDGFORD after Oliver Robinson snatched an 85th minute equaliser. Nathan Jessop had put visiting SHIREBROOK TOWN ahead on the hour after a goalless first half.
