Republic of Chineham managed to win a place in the Hampshire Sunday Intermediate Cup semi-finals on Sunday, writes Tony Spencer, with a y 2-1 over Boyatt Wood of the
City of Southampton league, who have been undefeated in the league and were on a ten-match unbeaten run.
Tadley Tigers started their Kelvin Cup quarter-final tie brightly and Taylor Mullett got them off to an early lead after twenty minutes. Andover Robins won a penalty only 5 minutes later to draw level and then held on well to keep possession for the rest of the half, taking a 1-2 lead before the interval. However, in the second half Tadley Tigers levelled after a tight offside decision, before Jake Young beat three or four players and lobbed the keeper, beating their visitors 3-2 and winning a place in the semi-finals
In the Andover Presidents Cup hosts Team started out to dominate and got their just deserts 1-0 after 10 minutes as James Tennant rounded the keeper and finished neatly. This was a great game on paper as Team and North Warnborough have enjoyed bitter rivalry over the years and now had a semi final place up for grabs. Sean Hays of North Warnborough set up Muhamed Saho to equalise 1-1, then Hays picked Saho again and made it 1-2 to Boro. Before half-time the hosts scored again from a penalty by Jamie Hope to make it 2-2. Team always looked dangerous on the attack and eventually took their chance as Mark Frost beat his man and picked Tennant out in the middle for the striker to volley home from 10 yards out. The devastating striker duo combined again as Tennant turned provider with an inch perfect cross for Hope to power home a header to make it 4-2. Boro applied pressure to Team's defence but they stood strong led by top performances from Tubb, Acott and Urquhart. Mark Frost powered a 25 yard effort of the woodwork, a cracking effort to increase the margin to three goals. El Kaloush played MOM Tennant through and the striker dually obliged with a lob from 20 yards with the outside of his boot. Tennant's fourth strike and Team's sixth come from a lovely 30 yard strike after cutting inside onto his left and again putting it out of the keeper's reach. This is Team's second semi-final this season, a great effort so far.
In the North Hants Chris Price Cup ties, Chineham Cavaliers beat visitors Kings Worthy 4-2, their seventh positive result in a brilliant home unbeaten run.
A pair each from Josh Dickins and Alex Izzo was enough to give Chineham Reserves a 4-2 victory over Basingstoke Saints. This was Chineham's fifth unbeaten game in a row, including three home wins in a row.
Kempshott drew 1-1 with Worthys in normal time but the hosts lost 4-5 on penalties.
The Division 1 match between Eastrop Eagles and Soldiers Return turned out to be a one-sided affair as the home side started with only ten players. Soldiers used their superior numbers to dominate the game and the score was only kept respectable because the home keeper made some excellent saves. Ellis Hauman opened the scoring after he made space for himself and bent a shot into the top corner of the net from 25 yards. Hauman made it 0-2 after Freddie Cloke crossed the ball and Craig Williamson headed onto the crossbar and Hauman was in the right place to tap home his second before the interval. In the second half, a cross by Williamson and this time Ben Allnutt was on the end of it to head home the third goal, and the fourth came from Cloke's one-on-one and slick lay-off for substitute Andy Darmody to slot home for 0-4.

Division 2 leaders Camrose Social seem unstoppable, leading AFC Basing with first half goals from John Glenister and Jake Gorman, followed by a Chris Waller hat-trick and single from Alex McKenna in the second half for a 6-4 victory, their third home win in a row. Unlucky Charlie Hart scored all four goals for AFC Basing but still ended up on the losing side!
Overton United's narrow 3-2 win over South Ham Saints was a league double over their opponents.
Shallow End were beaten 0-6 at home to AFC Laarsens, who are on a run of four wins in a row. Goals came from a Dan Bloma hat-trick, and singles from Sami Aldoori, Myles Englefield and James Wheeler.
