Snow Joke...

Frozen Out...

Last Sunday saw the first and probably not last total wipeout as rock hard pitches put paid to any action, writes Darren “Statto” Jones.

A chance to catch up on the state of play then...

In the Premier Division, the title-race is looking like it’s all over already as Nirankari Stevenage are still 100 percent after seven games and the rest have lost plenty already. We have seven teams left in the Herts Senior Cup at the last 32 stage.

It could be a club double as Nirankari Stevenage Reserves have also failed to drop a point in Division One. The nearest club are eleven points adrift. Three teams remain in the Herts Intermediate Cup.

Division Two looks the most exciting at present, three teams lead the way level on points, TC United, Hermit of Redcoats and Stevenage Leisure Limited.

Emperors Head are seventh in Division Three, but sit just four points behind leaders Odyssey. Three teams also remain in the Herts Junior Cup.

Walkern Construction will also think they’re in with a shout in Division Four, just six points off the lead in sixth place.

The Constitution proposed by The Committee pre-season looks a good one.

In the race for the Golden Boot, sponsored by KC Sports, that man “Thommo” is top of the tree so far on league goals. The top 10: Carl Thompson (Chequers) 27, Terry Lock (TC United) 23, Josh Dance (Hermit of Redcoats), Carl Smith (Stevenage Leisure Limited) 21, Theo Griffith (Proverbial) 18, Barry Hazelton (Marquis Utd) 17, Ali Collins (Breachwood Lions), Danny Jefferies (Breachwood Lions) 15, Gary Linehan (Stevenage Old Town), Josh Stock (Timebridge AFC Reserves) 14.

The Meeting scheduled for Monday 13th December has been postponed.
