For the first time since the Bristol and Suburban Football League was formed the League Management Committee took the decision to postpone all Suburban games for Saturday 7th December, the League which never stopped through two World Wars and has only ever stopped twice in its history, once for the Covid pandemic and also the funeral of Queen Elizabeth II

The Leagues General Secretary Martin Peters sent the following message to all their Clubs

''Due to the severe weather warnings in place, we regret to inform you that all Bristol & Suburban games scheduled for Saturday, 7th December have been postponed. This decision has been name with the safety of all participants in mind, including Players, Referees and Spectators.''

We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in these circumstances

The weeks fixtures were Bosley and Goulding League Cup games which have been rearranged for dates mainly in January when hopefully the weather is bett
