Divisions 1-4...

Division 1:
Thirty-nine goals in just four games in this division, but just two as Nirankari Stevenage Reserves had a surprisingly narrow win against SCS as they maintained their 100 percent start. Steve Teale and Tom Bilton netted.

Shephall Artois lead the race for the runners-up spot in a game littered with goals. Michael Hennah (five), Colin Field, Paul Hannington, Scott Walker, Alex Welch and a Chris Simpson tap-in saw them hit double-figures. Marquis of Lorne hit half of their opponents’ total thanks to Jamie Campany (two), Ross Jackson (two) and Frazer Triggs.

One goal less in a game where three players netted four times. Third-placed Stevenage Colts took the points thanks to Luke Bennett (four) and Sam Stephenson (four). Broadhall Reserves replied through Mark Chalkley (four), Rich Fahey and Lee Stokes.

Coopers sit fourth after an impressive win where Rich Griffiths hit a hat-trick. Ben Smith (two) and Adam Stevens bagged the others. Stevenage Fencing replied through Craig Braine and Michael Krstic.

Division 2:
TC United lead a very tight league and went in front when Dan Carroll converted a crossfield pass on the half-volley. Mallard Old Boys should have been level at the break but squandered the chance from the penalty spot after a George Bradshaw handball. They came closer minutes into the second half when they struck the post. Dan Carroll then them with his second, a fine strike into the bottom corner. Two late goals from Terry Lock sealed the win, a free-kick into the top corner followed by a neat finish after rounding the goalkeeper.

Lee Metselaar and Anthony Lanni were on the mark as Hermit of Redcoats made it a three-way lead on sixteen points along with their victims, Stevenage Leisure Limited, for whom Alex Lucy netted.

Tom Younger bagged a hat-trick as Timebridge AFC moved up to the halfway mark in the table, leapfrogging Putterills. Louis Bullock hit a consolation.

Division 3:
Odyssey are top of the table after another game full of goals despite being two behind with five minutes of the second-half played, the turning point at which point Jimmy Warner pulled off a great save from point blank range from a header. Chequers’ scorers were Carl Thompson (two), Oliver Barnett and Alan Collins. Gary Henniker scored with a free-kick from the halfway line and an inspired second half performance from him allowed Louis Gilbert and Will Cubitt to score a hat-trick apiece and Henniker contributed another.

Broadhall 'A' kept their unbeaten league record in the most dramatic of finishes. With just under ten minutes to go, it seemed Phil Stevens' header towards the top corner had put them ahead, only for the Stevenage Colts Reserves keeper to pull off what looked like an impossible save, whilst wrapping himself around the post, before they broke forward in the fourth minute of added time through Callum Gardiner. With time almost up, Stevens put a cross into the box and it broke to Matt Henning, who brilliantly kept his composure to smash the ball in to the net for a deserved equaliser.

Another incredibly-tight league sees Emperors Head sit in seventh, just four points off the leaders after Joe Whittaker and Lewis Sealy buried Rileys Athletic.

Luke Smith bagged six as Bedwell Rangers saw off Timebridge AFC Reserves. James Reeves also scored, whilst Josh Stock hit a brace in reply.

Alan Widdows (two) and Ned Wickham scored in ABC Taxis’ win over Times Club.

Division 4:
A shock looked on the cards as Icon Onederers led through Rashid Choudhury’s strike from an excellent Anthony Lloyd cross. They almost went two up, but for a quality save from Mark Phipps and leaders Roebuck Gate levelled through Ian Levy’s penalty courtesy of Phil O’Rourke’s foul. Choudhury went off injured to leave Icon with ten men late on as they grabbed a deserved point.

Stevenage Old Town are still second, despite a disappointing result in which they were three down and lost Kerise Powell to hospital with a knee ligament injury, leaving them with ten men. Good work by Voni Martins saw him feed the ball into Callum Kendrick, whose shot across goal took a touch off a defender and bobbled home. Ricky Lawrence then played in Dan Grosch to put the ball away and Kendrick flicked the ball through to Gary Linehan to smash home his fourteenth of the season. Walkern Construction won comfortably in the end thanks to Michael Bunker (two), Callum Freeman (two), Lee Kitching (two) and Oliver Roberts.

Theodore Griffith (two), Michael Hebbs (two), Joseph Marshall-Zeal, Michael Gwilliams and an own goal saw Proverbial thrash Lorne Rangers.
