Kyle Watson, hat-trick for MBDA in County Cup...

New Boys Make Light Of County Cup Debut...

Two teams new to the Premier Division this season made light work of their first-ever Herts Senior Cup ties, writes Darren "Statto" Jones.

Herts Senior Cup:
Managed by yours truly, MBDA used the game to rotate the squad. With players missing, they also gave four players their first start of the season. Ross Walker gave them the lead after the goalkeeper parried an early Gary Hodgson shot, but Athletico Hitchin hit back with two goals to lead at the break. However, just 20 seconds were on the second-half clock when Hodgson equalised. Kyle Watson knocked in a hat-trick and substitute Ashley Kersey hit the other of the half-dozen.

Highview went through in their away tie at FC Sherman thanks to Dave Morbin (two) and Bradley Vooght (two).

Frank Neville Memorial Cup:
Paul Dowse and James Brown each netted a brace as Times Club took the points against Hartham Press. James Khakpour-Smith and Andy Parrish replied.
