Summary of the action from Week 17 of NTU's Bundesliga 5-A-Side competition

The 2.Bundesliga brought the goals in Week 17 of NTU's 5-a-side competition.

The very first game of the day brought sixteen goals as title hopefuls Inter Mi-Nan inflicted a crushing 14-2 defeat on rivals Ivory Toast. This was followed by AFC Game, Set & Snatch pushing Sapphic United hard though Sapphic were ultimately able to take a 6-3 win to keep up the pressure at the top.

Leaders Bigshot United were never under such pressure as they got a comfortable 5-1 over league new boys Don't Look Back In Wenger whilst The Best Choice Boys had an even easier job as Pass To Stepehen failed to show up for their game, giving BCB a 3-0 win in the process.

Token Hotspur kicked off the Bundesliga games with a 4-2 win against Harpins Boys. With Ay BIrd and CYPS unavailable NTU ISOC and Inter de Nott played a 'friendly' game between themselves at 3.00pm, though Inter did not take it easy and won 14-0.

Ginellies unbeaten run in the league continued, with an impressive 4-1 win against 5 Elite again showing that they could have been title challengers had they entered the league at the start of the season.

The much touted game of the day between CC Cosmos and ASE FC lived up to its billing. Following recent defeats for both sides winning was the only option if they were to keep up with leader Inter de Nott. CC Comsos had the early lead and with 5 minutes remaining led 3-1. ASE have had goals in them all season though, having racked up 111 goals in their first sixteen games, and shocked Cosmos with four goals before the final whistle to end up 5-3 winners.

The day finished up with The Chaps winning 6-3 against old foes Exeter Gently and LEX impressing in a 4-1 win against Always On Top.

Given the vital nature of their win Week 17's Bundesliga Team Of the Week award goes to ASE Fc as their 5-3 win over CC Comsos moved them three points ahead of their opponents and kept them within striking distance of leaders Inter de Nott.

Week 18's highlight game is the days curtain raiser between top two Sapphic United and Bigshot United in 2.Bundesliga, whilst in the Bundesliga results are predicted to go with league ranking as top half teams play those from the bottom half.
