Changed Format

Dear Clubs,

Just to update your U16 teams.

1. The Shifnal Town u16 team has withdrawn from the Competition, we have therefore expunged all League matches for them in the B League.
2. As a result of the u16s now being only 10 teams, the normal Cup structure is not possible to run, we have therefore decided to run the U16s Cups using a cascade method of teams knocked out of the League Cup, being entered into the next lower cup (Minton Cup) then eventually the Charity Cup., this gives all teams the opportunity to qualify for a Cup Final, byes in the Quarter Finals will be prioritised to higher seeded teams.

We have considered a number of formats to the U16s Cups, each one its positive and negative aspects to it, however we believe this format will ensure each Cup match is Competitive and through Cup progression, it’ll give the opportunity for both the higher and lower seeded teams to reach a final.

Please find attached a graphic represenation of how the U16 Cups will work.

We ask that all teams endevour to get matched played on the days published to ensure that we progress the Cups to the finals in good time.
