Divisions 1-3...

Newly-crowned Division One champions Marquis of Lorne came from behind to win comfortably. AJS Tyres Broadhall took an early lead when Andy Lee latched on to Rob Stevenson's long diagonal pass and scored with a tremendous finish. Tom Finch looked certain to double the lead when he was taken out on the edge of the box, only for the referee to award absolutely nothing. Marquis equalised after 33 minutes. Half-time arrived at a bad time for AJS as they were playing well and so it proved as Marquis scored two quick second-half goals. Two more late on gave it a flattering 5-1 score line. Joe Delasalle (two), Tom Hillard (two) and Ross Jackson were on target.

Bottom side Odyssey picked up only their second win of the season. Louis Gilbert, Sam Ridings and Rich Veness scored in the 3-1 win over Coopers United, who replied through Gary Hillard.

MKS Carpentry began with 10 men and a young skilful Bedwell Rangers team tore them apart in the first 10 minutes, missing a couple of great chances before going one up after Ross Murphy the winger beat Mark Roskilly before shooting past James Sawyer in. Minutes later, a cross was only palmed out and Murphy slotted home for 2-0. MKS finally got back into it when a corner wasn’t dealt with by the ‘keeper and Lee Metselaar pounced to pull one back. Ade Barry then chased a lost cause and his block rebounded to Josh Dance, who cut inside before rifling the ball into the net from the edge of the box. A great move then saw them take the lead when Anthony Lanni slotted home. Stu Mackenzie then found Dance, who in turn fed Russell Ayles for 4-2. Graham Akers chipped the ball into the box and the ball landed at Metselaar’s feet and he slotted home his second. Bedwell got a consolation through James Reeves to make it 5-3.

Chequers are still leading Division Two after a 5-1 win over Emperors Head. Gary Gibson (two), Paul Osbourne, Steve Teale and Jon Threader on target. Joe Whittaker replied.

Nirankari Timebridge are still in pursuit after a 5-0 win over Pear Tree. Terry Pateman took a midfield berth for the game and managed to assist all five goals. Four of them for brother Dave Pateman, before Rich Hall netted the final goal.

Broadhall Athletic took the lead with a swift pass over the top that was taken well by quick forward Andy McCracken, who shot first time into the top corner before half-time. Lions were level on the hour when Ollie Mason's low shot found the bottom corner. Mason's cross was struck home by Richard Taaffe for the lead and Dan Jefferies then assisted Taaffe’s second, before Mason matched him. Taaffe went one better to complete his hat-trick when the ‘keeper tried in vain to stop his shot crossing the line.

Division Three leaders Broadhall Icon suffered a huge blow as ABC Taxis came up with a deserved win. Just after the quarter of an hour mark, John Saunders latched onto a flick on from Carl Simmonds and although his effort was blocked by Stuart Howard, it fell kindly to Gary Henderson-Thynne who had the simple task of slotting into an unguarded net. Despite the leaders having their fair share of the possession, ABC’s replacement ‘keeper Paul Hodgson kept them out. The result was confirmed with 15 minutes left when Alan Widdows played a ball over the back four for Henderson-Thynne, he beat the ‘keeper to the ball, nodded it over him and slotted into the empty net for 2-0.

Old Barclavians kept up their challenge with a 3-2 win over Proverbial United. James French (two) and Nick Wellings were on the mark, John Bitting hit both for United.

Stevenage Old Town led when a long ball was flicked on by Sean Gumble for Callum Kendrick to run onto and lift the ball home. A low Gary Linehan strike made it 2-0 after the breal before Roebuck Gate pulled one back through Ian Levy from the penalty spot before Linehan also netted from the spot to make it 3-1.

View Point Wanderers made it two wins on the spin in a hard fought game against The Old Post Office. They took the lead early in the second-half when a long throw from Scott Taylor was met with a superb glancing header by Ryan Hodgkiss.
