The 23/24 Season is drawing to a close and games of great importance are played every week from now till May

A great weekend for Friendship FC and a great advert for this League, County Cup winners for the 2nd time in 3 years. A very hard earned 2 goals to nil victory over Lincoln Sunday League Hykeham Town was watched by a large following of fans from Gainsborough. Jubilant scenes followed on the pitch at Glandford Park Scunthorpe.
Just a single game in Division 1 on Sunday and a strong FC Tickhill were much too good for an under strength Owston Ferry SC winning by an emphatic 9 goals to 2, Tickhill look certain to finish 3rd in the Division and with the Trinity Trophy already won they will now look forward to the Sporting Club Cup Final against Friendship FC on May10th.
Two games in Division 2 and both finished with identical scorelines at a goal each. M U SC and Westwoodside FC gave their all for the win but a draw was probably a fair result for both teams. Likewise Retford Sunday and Cross Keys who both created chances but just a goal each again was a fair result for both.
In Division 3 a real end to end game at Haxey saw Kings Arms Reserves defeat Babworth Rovers Yellows by 5 goals to 3 in a game that was a credit to both teams, the game had 8 goals and might have seen a few more a game where no one deserved to lose. Thonnock Rangers and Blue Bell Rangers scored 11 goals between them with both teams again creating numerous chances the home team just taking the points 6 goals to 5, again both teams can be proud of their play in a very exciting game. United Service Club just edged out Bridon AFC by 2 goals to 1 a game that was as close as the score would suggest all three games in this Division were a credit to all 6 teams who showed great committment.
