It is with great sadness, that I have to inform you of the death of Peter Smith, our Ground Standards Officer, on Tuesday 21st January. Although Peter had been ill recently, this was unexpected and is a shock to us all.

Our thoughts and prayers are with Peter's wife and family, at this sad time.

Peter will be sadly missed by all those who knew him, he was a great servant to local football, in particular to Anglian Combination, Watton United FC, Norfolk FA Vets League and also as Norfolk FA groundman at FDC.

As a mark of respect, there was a minutes silence before all Anglian Combination matches, on Saturday 25th January.

Peter's funeral, is at St Peter and St Paul Church, Church St, Carbrooke, on Thursday 6th February at 2.30pm.

The family requests no flowers, but donations can be made at the service to the East Anglian Air Ambulance.
