Minutes of Meeting held on Monday 18th December 2023

Clubs Absent: Jacks House Thornton CC

President informed clubs that at the management meeting it was decided not to have a meeting in January as the league does not resume until 2 days before the scheduled meeting.

Secretary Report: Minutes of meeting held 13th November 2023 were accepted.We have applied for two dates at the Shay for our Cup Finals. No matters arising.

Treasurer Report: Mini statement sent by the treasurer read out by the treasurer. He requested all monies be put into one account, this was agreed but not this year as account in Lloyds has another year to run.

Any clubs fined must within 7 days of notice of the fine, choose one of five (5) options and let the secretary know, if option one is your choice fine must be paid within 7 days.

Fixture Secretary: All clubs reminded the referee must be contacted first if a game is to be called off and to contact referee 3 or 4 days prior to games, this will ensure he is aware of the fixture. The management committee is desperate for some young blood to take on the role of fixture secretary. He would get all the help he needs to settle into the role.

Registration Secretary : The deadline for registrations and transfers closes 31st January 2024.

Referees Report: All said above

FA Report : CVSL informed th meeting that Halifax United had withdrawn from the league with immediate effect. Some teams from the Heavy Woolen who joined the CVSL do not have changing rooms which is causing problems this time of year with the bad conditions of pitches.

Astleys: Nil report

CMBC:

AOB: It was mentioned that a club did not return after the game to the home teams base for after match refreshments. We cannot enforce this but it costs money to provide refreshments after a game and is unfare on the home team.
