Exeter City lose in semi-final penalty shoot out.

Exeter City`s championship team reached the semi-finals of the Ability Counts National finals before going out on penalties.City kicked off the day with a 1-1 draw against Pheonix fc of Birmingham City.Pheonix had not been beaten all season so this was a great result for Exeter.In their next game City beat Northampton Town 1-0.In their final group game City beat Bell Vue 2-0.In the semi-final City were up against Sheffield CP.The game ended 1-1 after normal time.With no more goals in extra time the match went to penalties.There was still nothing between the two teams and it went to sudden death.With Sheffield scoring first City knew they had to score.But sadly they did`nt and it was Sheffield who went through to the final.But this was a great effort from Exeter City.( see the photo album for pictures of the day)
