It is with great sadness and regret that the Tamworth Junior League Management Committee announce the deaths of our Under 16's players Damian Stewart and Dion Walker-Smith and Damian's mother Maggie.

All three were all tragically killed in a road accident on Friday 6th December near Planters Garden Centre.

Damo and Dion both played for Under 16's Kingsbury Royals in the Tamworth Junior League and Coton Green in the Midland Junior Premier League.

Team-mates, Coaches and friends have been paying their respects at Kingsbury High School where a candlelit vigil was held and condolence messages were written in memory of all three.
Tributes have also been paid on dedicated Facebook pages.

On behalf of all our Member Clubs, their teams, players and parents, we pay our own tribute and remember Damo, Dion and Maggie and their families during this difficult time and we give them our full support.

Warwickshire Police are asking for anyone who has any information about the accident to contact them by ringing 101 and quoting Incident Number 250 of December 6th.
