Less than a month into the new season and the NAPIT ONE table has a very familiar look to it with defending champions Hasland Devonshire on top having won their opening three fixtures. Following on from their victories over Tibshelf Town and Eckington Boys Hepthorne Lane were also beaten in a tight affair by the odd goal in three, Pete Stubley and James Senior the match winners. The first two sides to face Hasland, Eckington Boys and Tibshelf Town met and the former won comfortably by four goals to one. Finding the net for Eckington were Jason Knowles and Ben Hutchinson who both scored twice. Hopflower took on New Whitt and beat them 4-2, Chris a Cave scoring a couple whilst Clowne Wanderers and FC Britannia were involved in a seven goal thriller with the latter just shading the game by four goals to three, Callum Lytham scoring a hat-trick for the winners. Renishaw MW travelled to Creswell to take on Black Diamond, goals from Ant Lynam, Jason Tyler and Danny Talbot making the trip worthwhile as they won 3-1.

In TWO five teams each have six points. Wingerworth BMB had won both their opening games and were looking to make it three from three but AFC Bolsover's Josh Parfitt and Gary Hulland dashed their hopes as they both scored twice to lead their team to a 4-3 win. Dronfield Victoria recorded a comfortable 3-0 victory over Brampton Rovers JMA, Adam Hopwood, Chris Bingham and Pete Myers on target whilst David Simpson, Matt Scanlon and Tom Brooke were on target for Dronfield Woodhouse as they beat Grassmoor Sports 3-2. Matlock Town Wanderers are the fifth team to move onto six points following their 5-2 success against Red Lion Whitt Moor, Wood hitting a treble. Black Swan and Woodthorpe Inn took a point each as they drew 2-2.

The early season leaders in THREE are Clowne Wanderers Reserves who won a pernickety game at Hady Villa by four goals to one, the home side having five players cautioned in the game. Wanderers goals came from Dickinson, Robson and Rodgers who scored twice. Joining them on maximum points are New Whitt B who just edged out Creswell Black Diamond Reserves by four goals to three, Dan Locke scoring a hat Trick. Hollingwood Athletic had lost their opening two games but it was third time lucky as they outplayed Steelmelters Arms Killamarsh, beating them by six goals to two, Dale Beach and Callum Mawby both scoring twice in the win. Ark Tavern and PiIsley Community were also winners, Tavern beating Brampton Oak Sports 4-3, Pilsley beating AFC North Wingfield 4-0.

Four of the five games in FOUR were closely contested affairs however the game between Newbold and Club FC was anything but as Newbold stormed to a 10-1 victory. Danny Keenan had a tremendous game, hitting a spectacular double hat trick, a rarity at any level of football. If Club's defence was in tatters in the other games it was defences that came out on top, Harley's Scarlets and Duckmanton Community's for instance who conceded just one goal apiece, Craig Walters scoring for Harley's, Martin Newman for Community. Likewise the defending of Hasland Community and Steelmelters Arms Killamarsh was equally resolute as both sides were restricted to one goal each. Chesterfield Arms scored twice at Gate Inn North Wingfield to win 2-0 whilst two Ashley Grayson goals led Oxcroft Utd to a 2-1 win at Oaks FC.

In NAPIT FIVE two sides were beaten 6-0, Spartans and Travellers Clowne. Spartans demise came at Castle Leisure were opponents Old Whittington Miners Welfares Danny Rigby scored a treble. Travellers were largely undone by Mick Nash who's hat trick led New All Inn to victory. Barlow Kingston Rovers Scott Whitehouse scored twice to add to Pete Stevenson's' goal as Rovers beat Brimwood Utd by the odd goal in five, Mike Hays and Alan Eggleston were on target as Palterton Sporting won 2-1 at Royal Oak Rangers whilst Renishaw Rangers game with Holmehall 1st ended in a 1-1 stalemate, Longstaffe scoring for Rangers Wildman for Holmehall.


Evolution endured a baptism of fire in their first two games in the league in SIX conceding no fewer than twenty-one goals but anyone viewing their game at Fidlers Rest would have found it difficult to understand why as they produced a solid all round display which looked like it would earn them a victory. Despite going a goal down early in the game with ten minutes left they were leading 2-1 before they were undone by two late goals. Hasland Community Eagles won 3-1 against Holmehall 2nd to make it three wins from three starts as did Brampton Rovers Reserves at Hasland WMC, Hindle, Allen and Jackson scoring. A nine goal thriller at Gardners Clay Cross went the way of the home side who just edged out Dronfield Wanderers by the odd goal.

Darley Dale Red Star gave Ye Old Nags Head a good old fashioned lesson in goal scoring as the rattled in twelve goals in SEVEN with Tim Baker hitting five of them, Joe Wragg also scoring a couple. There were plenty of goals in the game between Dronfield Town and Glapwell Gladiators as well, nine to be precise as the former eventually ran out winners by five goals to four. Oxley's hat trick for Town was pivotal as they just got home by a one goal margin. Glover scored twice, Chapple and Boswell once as Squadron Medical beat Spartans 2nd 4-1. Parker, Russell and Hamlin scored for Charlies Clay Cross Athletic as they beat Newbold CFT 3-2 and last but not least Grassmoor Sports Reserves won 2-1 at Brimington Club.
