It was quarter finals day on Sunday in the NAPIT league's ALMA Cup, CHATSWORTH Cup and HUTSON Cup and in the Alma the sides going through to the semi's are Dronfield Woodhouse, Red Lion Whitt Moor, FC Britannia and Renishaw MW. In the CHATSWORTH New Inn Tupton, Barlow Kingston Rovers and New Whitt B will contest the semi's.

Dronfield Woodhouse of TWO produced the performance of the day in the ALMA to knock out ONE side Hopflower Utd. In a superb all round performance it was Phil Morton who was the Woodhouse 'star performer' as he scored an excellent hat trick. Kieran Loftus and Liam Mottram were also in the goals as Woodhouse won 5-2. League leaders FC Britannia clashed with fellow ONE side New Whitt and were made to work hard by a side who have been in good form recently however goals from Will Harcourt and Chris Bettney cancelled out Gary Morton's effort to send Britannia through. In the second of two top division encounters Renishaw MW took on Tibshelf Town and goals from Aiden Ordidge and Daniel Newton won the game for Renishaw. The fourth game of the semi's saw NAPIT TWO strugglers Matlock Town Wanderers take on Red Lion Whitt Moor. Lion are currently bottom and have only won once in the league this season but they put their poor league form behind them to come within ninety minutes of a place in the final by virtue of a match winning goal from Tom Robley.

In the CHATSWORTH it was NAPIT FIVE side Spartans who produced the performance of the day to beat Hady Villa of THREE. In a tight game the sides were level at 2-2 after ninety minutes. Extra time was just as closely fought with little to choose between the sides however it was Spartans who scored the deciding third goal. Craig Tromans added to more goals to his season's tally with Sean Byrne adding the third. Barlow Kingston Rovers also of FIVE progressed at the expense of another NAPIT THREE team Pilsley Community, again going through after extra time, this time by five goals to two. Tied at 2-2 after ninety minutes. Rovers upped the anti in the additional thirty minutes to comfortably go through thanks in no small part to a superb Scott Whitehouse hat trick with James Thorneycroft and Chris Cunniffe also scoring. New Inn Tupton make up the semi final line up after two Alan Hurt goals plus one from Matt Minshall just edged out Ark Tavern 3-2.

Two of the semi final places have been decided in the HUTSON. Hasland Wanderers met Spartans 2nds at Castle Leisure and easily won by six goals to nil, all six coming from different players who were, Carlo Marchetta, Luke Booker, Craig's Megyesi, John Ryan, Nigel Walton and Pat Grant. SIX high flyers Brampton Rovers Reserves overcame Glapwell Gladiators but only just, winning by the odd goal in a nine goal thriller. Elliott Crowder and Charles Scattergood won it for a Rovers hitting a hat trick and a brace of goals respectively.

In the league Hasland Devonshire moved to within three points of leaders FC Britannia in ONE by virtue of a win over Clowne Wanderers in a high scoring affair. Ryan Edridge scored twice for Wanderers with Antony Rowley adding a third, however in the end Wanderers were outgunned as Danny Claridge scored twice, Lee Clay, Danny Mason and Pete Stubley once as Devonshire claimed the victory. In stark contrast chances were few and far between in the game between Eckington Boys and Hepthorne Lane, a goal from Hepthorne's Lewis Thurnham sealing the win.
In FOUR Oaks FC put seven goals past opponents Crown Killamarsh to claim an easy win. Luke Hemstock and Joe Sharpe caused most of Crown's problems as Hemstock hit a hat trick, Sharpe two whilst Ben Thomas and Jonathan Heston weighed in with a goal apiece. Steve Johnson was on target twice, Mark Reynolds once for Duckmanton Community at Dark Lane North Wingfield as hosts Gate Inn were beaten 3-0.

Woodthorpe Inn's relentless march to the NAPIT TWO title continued unchecked as they eased to a 6-1 win over Brampton Rovers JMA. Woodthorpe were much too strong for JMA in a one sided affair. Grassmoor Sports stay second, eleven points behind, after two goals from Mitchell, one from Spencer and Bates saw them beat faltering West End Killamarsh 4-2. Wingerworth BMB go third after they won 2-1 at Dronfield Victoria, Brown scoring both goals whilst AFC Bolsover slipped to fourth as an excellent Black Swan beat them by four goals to three, Nathan Young scoring twice, Ben Cooke and Alex Haythornthwaite once each.

Palterton Sporting Club produced a superb display in NAPIT FIVE as they severely dented Brimington Utd's title aspirations by beating them by four goals to three. The defeat didn't cost Utd the leadership but it leaves them just three points clear of second placed Holmehall 1st who, significantly have three games in hand. Will Holmes is equally at home in the centre of Sporting's defence or leading the attack and it was his attacking nous that was crucial to his side as he scored three of the winning goals with Craig Allwood adding the all important fourth to secure an excellent three points. Old Whittington MW consolidated third position as they also won by the odd goal in seven, this time against New All Inn, Danny Rigby, Scotty Wilson, Dan Fairchild and Tom Eyre scoring the winning goals. Completing a trio of close games in FIVE the one between Royal Oak Rangers and Renishaw Rangers failed to produce a winner as it ended level at 2-2.

In SIX Fidlers Rest's 3-1 win at Evolution moved them into second place and kept their title aspirations very much alive. The win which came thanks to two Lloyd Amissah goals and one from Luke Carline leaves them four points behind leaders Brampton Rovers Reserves with five games in hand. Also in SIX Dronfield Wanderers just edged out Hasland WMC by the odd goal in five.

Grassmoor Sports Reserves moved up to second in SEVEN after a solid display earned them a 5-2 win at Squadron Medical with Luke Addlington scoring twice, Scott Chambers, Martin Fanthom and Scott Lewin once each. Finally Brimington Club and Charlies Athletic Clay Cross played out an entertaining 3-3 draw.
