Killamarsh Juniors Athletic stay a point clear of second placed Hasland in the first division of the NAPIT LEAGUE after recording a comfortable 4-0 win at Fox Green over hosts Creswell. Leading goal scorer Gary Parsons scored to take his seasons tally to ten, A Parsons also scored once as did Kaye and Holmes. Hasland also won, thumping Hepthorne Lane by six goals to two, Danny Robinson, Lee Clay, Luke Beatson and man of the match James Senior scored three in the win. Seniors former club Bolsover Town Social Club, who have made their worse start to a season for several years, finally recorded their first win, 2-1 over Brampton Rovers who are bottom of the pile having now lost eight from eight starts. Eckington Boys proved to be too strong for visitors AFC Whitecotes, Knowles, Savage, Sydall and Wilson scoring in Eckingtons 4-1 win whilst in a tight game at the Golden Ball Ground Renishaw MW drew 1-1 with Clowne Wanderers, Spinks for Renishaw, Richardson for Wanderers.
New Whitt remain very much on course for promotion to the top flight as they eclipsed Ashover Vale 3-1 to stay nine points clear at the top of NAPIT TWO. Daley Furness, Gareth Hannaby and Gary Morton were the match winners for New Whitt who have now hit an impressive forty-seven goals in just eleven starts, Morton scoring fourteen of them. Barrow Hill MC have scored seven goals fewer than the leaders and are second in the table following their 4-2 win at Silver Birches. Birches made them work hard but just fell short with Aiden Ordidge, Sanderson, Whittaker and Wain scoring the winning goals. FC Brimington went into their game against Wingerworth Barley Mow looking to exploit their opponents defensive weaknesses, Mow having shipped thirty-seven goals so far and they did, scoring three times. Unfortunately for them Barley Mow responded with four goals of their own coming from Rouse, Illingworth, Miller and Jack. Tibshelf Towns Vardy helped himself to a treble, Garrard and Cousins one each as they comfortably won 5-1 at Hollingwood.
West Killamarsh continue to set the pace in THREE, their 3-1 win at Dronfield Woodhouse, which came thanks to strikes from Sorsby, Unwin and Reaney, maintaining their three point advantage over second placed AFC Bolsover who also won, 5-3 at Hopflower Athletic. Josh Parfitt and Joe Seredynski both scored twice for Bolsover, Rushby once. The game at Norbriggs between Steelmelters Arms Killamarsh and Beechers Brook was effectively over as a contest as early as the twelfth minute, Beechers racing into a 4-0 lead. Things did improve for Steelmelters as the game wore on before they finally went down 6-1 to two goals each from Bexton and Linacre, one each from Lowe and Parsons. Red Lion bounced back from last weeks defeat to Creswell Black Diamond to record an impressive 5-1 win at fellow promotion hopefuls Matlock Town Wanderers, Mathewman twice, Linacre, Brear and De- Ieso the scorers. New Inn Newtons clash with Brickmakers was a close fought affair but New Inn eventually prevailed by two goals to one.
Its as you were at the top of FOUR as leaders Pilsley beat Steelmelters 2-0 to remain in pole position, AFC North Wingfield moving up to second by beating Spartans by the same score-line. On target for the leaders were Cave and Newman whilst Wingfields marksman was Andy Woolvern, scoring twice to make it six goals in seven days for him. A seven goal thriller at Netherthorpe School went the way of the hosts Lowgates Sports Club who just edged out opponents New Whitt B by the odd goal in seven, Steven Linney scoring twice as did Craig White. The relegation battle between bottom side Chesterfield Arms and third from bottom Harleys Scarlets ended all square at two goals each.
The top two in NAPIT FIVE, Clowne Wanderers Reserves and North Wingfield MW both won to stay in the race to reach FOUR. Wanderers success came against Spital who remain winless thanks to two goals from Robson and one each from Peak and Taylor. North Wingfield went one better, putting five past Old Whittington MW. Aaron Large starred for North Wingfield scoring three, Ashley Walters and Ritchie Henson completing Old Whittingtons demise. Brimington Uniteds players will probably be the divisions happiest however as they secured their first point of the season in a 1-1 draw with Brampton Brewery. Carl Newells goal secured that point with Liam Roberts replying for Brewery.
Crown Killamarsh blitzed Barlow Kingston Rovers 8-0 to stay top of SIX. Lester was Rovers chief tormentor scoring, as he did, three of the eight, Whitehouse adding two, Majchrzak, Stephens and Whitehead the other goals. Hady Villa remain in second place despite being held to a 2-2 draw by Markham Arms, Villas one hundred per cent recording ending as a result. For Villa Leaning and McMahon scored for Arms Nil Robinson and Ash Taylor. At the other end of the division Holmehall 2NDs 6-1 win over Renishaw MW Reserves was only their second of the season. A brighter second half to the campaign beckons for Holmehall following Wakes two goals and one apiece from Cooper, Cooke, Watkins and Harris. Furnace Hill Hurricanes stay in the promotion race, after they just beat Dronfield Wanderers by the odd goal in five, Gibbison with one goal Jones with two.
In SEVEN two of the three main protaganists enjoyed victories. Leaders Duckmanton Community are still top after upping their goal difference to forty with their 8-0 destruction of Brimington Club. Duckmanton were in rampant form with the prolific Mark Reynolds and Jack Weaver both hitting the hat trick trail, Graham Travis and Richard Hanson weighing in with a goal each. Third placed Oxcroft Utds win came over Dronfield Town whom they beat 4-1, Gill, Nick Grayson, Ashley Grayson and Roe the scorers. Second placed Brampton Rovers Reserves didn't win but at least claimed a point in a 3-3 draw with Spartans 2ND, Alex Harrison scoring twice, Ian Branson once Rovers scorers, John Buxton scoring all three Spartans goals. Boot and Shoe won convincingly 6-1 at Britannia Tupton, G Yeomans scoring a couple, Glapwell Gladiators and Miners and Diners drew 3-3 whilst Grassmoor Sports Reserves beat Squadron Medical 3-1.
