The leading contenders for the NAPIT LEAGUE title were all in action other than second placed Renishaw MW who, despite the fact that everyone else won, are still second. Leaders FC Britannia took on Clowne Wanderers and beat them by three goals to one to extend their lead to five points having played one game less than Renishaw and third placed Hasland Devonshire and four less than fourth placed Tibshelf Town. Wanderers battled bravely but in the end Britannia proved to be too strong and Nathan Whitehead, Callum Lytham and Nico De Girolamo's goals eclipsed Carl Longmore's strike. Hasland Devonshire beat Hopflower Utd in a tight game by two goals to one. Utd are currently second from bottom in ONE and Ryan Wain's goal gave them hope of pulling off a great win but Thomas Poole and Ryan Booker's goals won it for Devonshire. Tibshelf were also involved in a 'nail biter' beating opponents Hepthorne Lane by the odd goal in five, Dean Bramley two and Steve Webster winning them the game. New Whitt and Eckington Boys played out an entertaining game that ended level at two goals each, Adam Barratt and Alex Lalli scoring for New Whitt, Mathew Holehouse and Aaron Wilmot for Eckington.

Grassmoor Sports went second in TWO after they easily beat Brampton Rovers JMA by six goals to nil. Dean Spencer led the way for Grassmoor with a well taken hat trick, his goals added to by Ryan Bates, Ash Morton and Grant Mitchell. Wingerworth BMB took on Matlock Town Wanderers and beat them by five goals to three, Jeromr Wilkes, Trystan Brown, Richard Perry and Robert Poole with two the scorers. Westend Killamarsh beat Dronfield 2-0 whilst Dronfield Woodhouse drew a blank as did opponents Black Swan.

In THREE leaders Creswell Black Diamond remain six points claar of second placed Clowne Wanderers Reserves as they both won, Diamond beating Brampton Oak Sports comfortably by six goals to nil, Wanderers having to work much harder before overcoming Hollingwood Athletic by the odd goal in seven. On target for Diamond were Sean Marsden who scored twice, Sam Hall, Ricky Roe, Josh Greaveson and substitute Ashley Ruse. James Summers hit three for Wanderers, Ryan Bannister one as Athletic were just edge out. Ark Tarvern put six past Steelmelters Arms Killamarsh who replied with three goals of their own. Tavern's match winners were Phil Grant and Dalton who both scored two and Robbie Littler and Steve Linney.

The top two in FOUR met with leaders and Champions elect Newbold starting the day twelve points ahead of Oxcroft and by the end of play thanks to Dan Keenan, Sam Finlaw and Dan Chapman's goals the lead was extended to fifteen points. Credit goes to Oxcroft however as goals from Ash and Nick Grayson pushed Newbold all the way. Ironically the bottom two sides also met with second from bottom Gate Inn North Wingfield beating bottom side Harley's Scarletts 2-1, Adam Kirsopp and Steve Bicknall with the winning goals. Chesterfield Arms got back to winning ways with a Mark Woods scoring once, Robbie Hardie twice.

Brimington United went top of FIVE with a 3-2 win against local rivals Spartans. The game looked to be all but over at half time as United scored three goals without reply. Chris Marshall opened the scoring with a neat volley, Tom Renshaw then scored with an excellent header before Carl Newell completed the first half scoring. However Spartans came out fighting in the second half and Mark Crain’s inspired performance and his two goals from were enough to make the last 10 minutes a nervy affair for Brimington. As of now Brimington are now guaranteed Runners Up in FIVE and can still win it if Holmehall slip up again like they did today, going down 4-2 at Old Whittington MW. Palterton Sporting Club just lost out to Royal Oak Rangers by a goal to nil scored by Nathan Melbourne whilst bottom club The Castle Arms just lost out in a seven goal thriller to New All Inn who beat them 4-3.

In SIX leaders Brampton Rovers Reserves title hopes suffered a blow as they slipped to a 2-1 reverse at Hasland Community Eagles for whom Sam Allcock and Adam Plant scored. Gardeners Clay Cross took advantage and cut their lead to five points as a sixty-fifth minute strike from Craig Young was enough to beat Renishaw MW Reserves. Bottom club Holmehall 2nd were on the wrong end of a 6-0 score line against Dronfield Wanderers for whom Ben McCatty hit three, Joe Stevens two, Matt Conway one. Lee Wright was in top form for Hasland Wanderers against Furnace Hill Hurricanes, hitting a superb hat trick, added to by a goal each for Nigel Walton and Craig Megyesi as Wanderers won 5-1.

Brimington United Shoes made hard work of Newbold Community Football Training beating them by two goals to one. Mark Mowbray once again got on the score sheet, as did Matt Chapman. Two more wins for the Shoes team will clinch them the SEVEN title. Grassmoor Sports Reserves made short work of opponents Squadron Medical hammering them 8-1, Luke Addlington and Roger Brailsford scoring twice, Ben Bower, Scott Chambers, Dave Greaves and Gareth Lewin once. Sean Cullen twice and Conner Dillingham were on target for Spartans Reserves in a 3-0 win over Darley Dale Red Star and finally Brimington Club won 2-1 at Ye Old Nags ahead and finally Charlies Clay Cross Athletic beat Renishaw Rangers TFC 4-1.
