Defending NAPIT champions FC Britannia made amends for their disappointing display in their opening game of the season by outplaying Hopflower Utd to beat them by six goals to nil.Six dif-ferent players were on target in the victory, Gareth Davies, Chris Bettney, Callum Lytham, Mario Slater, Josh Aitkin and Dan Ragan. Hasland Devonshire's start, on the other hand, has been excel-lent and at Hepthorne Lane a goal from Lee Clay, his seventh in three starts, plus a second from Nico De Girolamo earned them their third win of the season by a two goals to nil margin. Richard Pedley and Joe Boggild scored as Doe Lea beat Wingerworth BMB 2-1 whilst Creswell Black Dia-mond played out a goal-less draw with Tibshelf Town.
FC United of Bolsover's impressive start continued in TWO with a comfortable 5-0 win against Dronfield Woodhouse, their third in three starts. Nick Grayson scored twice, Ash Grayson, Josh Parfitt and Jack Weaver in the win. Josh Adams hit a hat trick for the other Dronfield side in this division Victoria as they beat Matlock Town Wanderers 5-3 in a high scoring game, Dan Hamilton and Oliver Wood scoring goals number four and five, Alex Cramp scoring two of Wanderers goals. There was very little to choose between Clowne Wanderers Reserves and Creswell Black Diamond Reserves but the former just shaded the game, winning 3-2, Richard Cooper,Danny Taylor and Matt Robson with the winning goals.
Renishaw MW are the early pacesetters in THREE as two Danny Talbot goals plus one from Jamie Plaweki and Jon Senior saw them beat Hollingwood, their third win in three games. At the other end of the table AFC North Wingfield remain pointless following a narrow 3-2 defeat to Oaks FC. Matt Towndrow did score twice for Wingfield but goals from Wynn, Stone and Hemstock saw Oaks home. The game between Ark Tavern and New Inn Tupton was even more evenly matched as Tavern won by a goal to nil scored by Dean Lowe. Newbold visited Pilsley and a goal each from Callum Dovison and Brad Jones secured them a 2-1 victory. Hady Villa were in great form as they brushed aside an out of sorts Brimington Utd. Kerry Cook scored twice for Villa. Andy Lambing, Carl Twell and Micky Darnell in a 5-1 win.
In FOUR the Spartans and Brampton Oaks Sports fixture produced an exciting game which could have gone either way but both sides had to settle for a point as they shared six goals between them. The Spartans scorers were David Smith and Craig Tromans who scored two. For Sports Lee Bingham, David Brent and Gavin Melen reciprocated. Taylor, Gregory and Bailey were the three scorers as New All Inn saw off Brampton Rovers, Brimington Utd Shoes and Duckmanton Com-munity drew 1-1 whilst AFC Castle beat Butchers arms at a cantor by four goals to one.
Renishaw Rangers had hit eighteen goals without reply in their first two FIVE games but Gate Inn North Wingfield provided them with a much sterner test. Rangers did come out on top but only just as goals from Andy Kirsopp and Paul Wallis were bested by efforts from Tony Dean, Ryan Spinks and Liam Edge to hand Rangers a narrow win. Royal Oak Rangers met and largely dominated Gardeners Clay Cross at Tupton School with Rangers Alex Offless grabbing himself a well taken hat trick in a comfortable 4-1 win, Dean Heywood scoring the fourth. Barlow Kingston Rovers lost for the third time, two Declan Jenkins goals, Dan Buxton, Jack Allcock and Tom Goodwin's goals for Brampton Rose condemning them to a 5-0 defeat.
Three games were played in NAPIT SIX and two of them resulted in draws. The only winners on the day were Furnace Hill Hurricanes who beat Hasland Community Eagles 3-1, a victory that gives them a three point lead at the top. Adam Fareham scored twice, Lee Crofts once. Dan Brown scored twice for Whitecotes Wanderers as did Craig Magyesi as they drew 4-4 with Woodt-horpe Wanderers, Walsh, Hamlin, Whitford and Porter getting Wanderers goals whilst AFC Steelmelters and Evolution drew 1-1.
In SEVEN New Bolsover Social Club and Brimington Club shared ten goals between them as they drew 5-5. Aaron Simpson scored two, Dan Turner, Corey Bluff and Dylan Farndale one for New Bolsover, Lewis Diddall and Reece Nutall both scored twice for Club, Paul Buxton one. Darley Dale Red Star thrashed Newbold CFT by six goals to one, Baker hitting a treble for the winners. Dodds three, Mason two, Halliday one scored as Markham Arms won 6-2 at Anchor Clowne. Britannia Tupton beat Ye Olde Nags Head 3-1 and Spartans 2nd beat Dronfield Town 1-0, Cullen the scorer.
