Hasland Devonshire bounced back from their Derbyshire Sunday Senior Cup defeat to Edge Hill seven days earlier to beat Tibshelf Town and book a place in the final of the Dey and Co Alma Cup where FC Utd of Bolsover await them at the Proact Stadium. Once again talisman striker Lee Clay played a vital part in their victory scoring twice, goals number thirty and thirty-one of his season, added to by one from Danny Claridge, Devonshire winning by three goals to one.
In NAPIT ONE Creswell Black Diamond and Clowne Wanderers played out an entertaining 2-2 draw in which Greg Lowde and Alex Offless were on target for Diamond, Josh Clayton and Josh Madin for Wanderers.
The race to decide who would finish as runners up in TWO was decided as Clowne Wanderers Reserves began the day a point ahead of third placed New Whitt and that's exactly where they stayed as they both won by a goal to nil, Wanderers beating Dronfield Victoria thanks to Robson's goal, New Whitt beating Crispin Casuals by the same score.
Newbold are breathtakingly close to claiming the NAPIT THREE title after they beat Hollingwood Athletic by six goals to two to move two points ahead of Renishaw Miners Welfare with both sides having one game left to play. After hitting ten in mid-week their prolific form in front of goal continued against Athletic as Dan Keenan scored twice, Ben Copestake, Sam Rhodes, Jake Sindall and Lewis Hayward once. Oaks FC will definitely finish in third place after they drew 3-3 with Pilsley Community who will finish the season in fourth place.
Crown Killamarsh, FOUR winners ended their season on a high with a 2-1 win over second place Brampton Rovers. Crown's scorers in the victory were Jake Hackford and Greg Makchrzak however despite the defeat Rovers are certain to end the season as runners up to Crown. Danny Stokes scored twice, Joe Timmins and Luke Carline once as AFC Castle beat Spartans 4-1. The Brimington United Shoes game against Butchers Arms was a classic game of two halves. Butchers Arm went in at half time 3-0 up thanks to two Callum Virgillio goals plus one from Mark Woods but after the break Shoes completely turned the game on its head. Mark Mowbray with two, Andrew Mosley with one and Carl Newell with Shoes fourth and the winner ended Shoes season in style.
In FIVE Britannia Rose turned on the style to thrash bottom side Dronfield Wanderers by eight goals to two. Callum Featherstone was Wanderers chief tormentor, rattling in four goals whilst Ben Meadley scored twice, Sam Allcock and Declan Jenkins once. Grassmoor Sports need a victory from their last game to make sure of finishing second in the division following a narrow 1-0 win over Bolsover Town, Ash Walters hitting the winning goal. Steven Rogers was on target twice for Gardeners Clay Cross as the beat Gate Inn North Wingfield 4-2 in the division's other game.
Astwith All Stars were 5-0 up just before half time against Palterton Sporting Club in Six when Sporting's Glynn Redman was red carded and an extremely difficult task was made much more so as the ten men conceded six times more in the second half. Man of the match Justin Deakin was superb, hitting a splendid double hat trick whilst Billy Pearson scored twice, Darren Fantom, Micky Saville and Craig Young once. To their credit Sporting never gave up and managed to score three goals of their own. Lockoford Inn lost for the seventeenth consecutive game, this time by five goals to three to The Castle Arms and Evolution and Hasland WMC drew 4-4, Jack Warwick registering a treble for Evolution, Matt Bower a couple for Hasland.
Finally in SEVEN champions Darley Dale Red Star suffered a rare defeat at the hands of Markham Arms in their final game of the season. Arms won 5-3 with Hadley scoring three, Dodds and Kirk one. Remy Williams was another hat trick man, his three coming for Dronfield Town. a 5-2 win over New Bolsover Social Club. And to complete a trio of high scoring games runners up Brimington Club lost by the odd goal in nine to Spartans 2nd.
