Headlining the second week of the 2015 fixture list were two outstanding Derbyshire Senior Sunday Cup Quarter Finals, both of which featured all NAPIT LEAGUE clubs in the form of FC Britannia v AFC Bolsover and Wingerworth BMB v Hasland Devonshire. It's fair to say that Devonshire are red hot favourites to retain the trophy and as they destroyed Wingerworth by nine goals to one it would take a brave man to bet against them. They dominated from start to finish as Lee Clay and Pete Stubley handed out a lesson in goal scoring with Clay scoring four and Stubley three, Ryan Booker and Ryan Ordidge also getting in on the act. Britannia faced a tricky test in the form NAPIT ONE bound TWO leaders Bolsover and were made to work hard before eventually winning by four goals to one, Nico De Giralomo's hat trick proving to be a major deciding factor.
In the Junior Cup Oaks FC progressed to the last four at the expense of fellow NAPIT side New Whitt Reserves, Luke Hemstock and Sean Gardner scoring in a 2-1 win and joining them are Duckmanton Community who went through the hard way beating Littleover HM 7-5 after extra time, the two teams amazingly ending the ninety minutes level at 5-5, Mr reliable Steve Johnson scoring five Duckmanton goals.

Back in the league and it's fair to say Eckington Boys have been struggling for most of the season in NAPIT ONE and face an uphill task if they are to avoid relegation however their cause was helped no end on Sunday as they secured a hard fought victory over Hopflower Utd as a goal each from Matt Adams and Adam Syddall saw them pick up three vital points. At Clune Street Clowne Wanderers entertained a Tibshelf Town side who sit perilously close to the relegation zone themselves and it was Wanderers who came out on top after Gareth Lindley, Josh Madin, Regan Edridge and Carl Longmore scored in a 4-2 victory. If Eckington and Tibshelf are finding life difficult at the moment New Whitt's plight is even worse as they continue to prop up the division after they succumbed to a Renishw MW side who beat them by three goals to one. As for Renishaw things could not look rosier as the victory propelled them to the top of the league as their superb season continued thanks to Ant Lynam, Danny Talbot and substitute Callum Green who scored the all important winning goals.

In TWO Westend Killamarsh had won their previous five games before they met Woodthorpe Inn in a vital promotion clash but their winning streak was unceremoniously ended as Woodthorpe thrashed them by eight goals to one. Oliver Shelton led the way, scoring a hat trick, Ash Barber scored twice, Carl Whitford, Dave Chambers, Mark Needham once as their side moved to within three points of leaders AFC Bolsover who they meet next week and, they have a game in hand. Dronfield Victoria could have gone third if they had beaten Grassmoor Sports but they failed to do so, losing by three goals to one and as result Sports moved level with them on points after goals from Ryan Bates, Ash Morton and Lee Naughton secured them the win.

Clowne Wanderers Reserves were looking to close the gap on leaders Creswell Black Diamond Reserves in THREE to just one point as they took on lowly Ark Tavern. Things didn't quite go to plan as it turned out as Tavern produced one of their better seasons performances to hold them to a 2-2 draw. Daniel Herring and Carl White's goals secured Tavern's point as Matt Robson and Dale Rodgers did likewise for Wanderers. Hollingwood Athletic moved up from second bottom to fourth from bottom as they beat rock bottom Steelmelters Arms Killamarsh, Carl Gallagher scoring three, Josh Farrar one in a 4-1 success. A six goal thriller between AFC North Wingfield and Brampton Oaks Sports saw both sides claim a point, Mike Harris, Ryan Preece and Andy Woolvern on target for AFC, Wayne Gerrity hitting all three Oaks goals. Darren Norwood was another 'hat trick hero' his three goals helping AFC Spital to a 5-3 win over Hady Villa, Mike Edwards and Jack Cooper scoring goals number four and five.

In FOUR the top two, Newbold and Chesterfield Arms met and it was the former who came out on top, winning by two goals to one. In a keen contest there was little to choose between the two sides but Newbold just had the edge as Daniel Keenan and Liam Milner's goals cancelled out a Gary Whetton goal. A hat trick each from Lee Dewes and Ashley Grayson plus one goal from Ross Murcutt earned a rampant Oxcroft Utd an impressive and emphatic 7-1 victory at Harleys Scarlets which moved them up to third place in the process.

FIVE leaders Brimington Utd visited Old Whittington MW looking to extend their advantage at the top of the division. They did score five goals of which Alex Howard hit three, Chris Marshall and Howard Clarke the other two as they took an early 2-0 lead. Whittington came roaring back to draw level before Utd then went 5-3 ahead. Whittington were far from finished however and to their immense credit they rocked the leaders by scoring four more times to win by seven goals to five. Their goal scorers were Scott Wilson, three, Danny Rigby, two, Edward Clarke and Ben Moss who both scored once to win the day. In stark contrast Barlow Kingston Rovers and Renishaw Rangers couldn't manage to score at all. Holmehall 1st only managed one goal themselves in their clash with Brimwood Utd but what a vital goal Alex Wildman's effort could turn out to be as not only was it enough to beat Brimwood but it moved them above them into second as the top three sides all have twenty-five points. Travellers Clowne became Castle Arms earlier in the week but the change of name brought about no change in their fortunes as they were easily beaten 6-2 by Spartans for whom Craig Tromans hit four goals, Mark Crain and James Watkinson one to leave them rooted to the foot of the division.

In SIX Gardeners Clay Cross moved above local rivals Furnace Hill Hurricanes into second place after beating them by five goals to one. Steven Rodgers scored three of Gardeners goals, but the goal of the game came from Michael Saville who curled a superb effort into the top corner from out on the wing and it would have been six had not Hurricane's keeper made an excellent penalty stop from Saville. Hasland Community Eagles beat Renishaw MW Reserves 4-2, Spencer Hindle scoring a couple whilst Hasland Wanderers won 4-1 at Holmehall 2nd.
