Hasland Devonshire's 4-0 defeat of defending champions FC Britannia, in which Lee Clay scored yet another hat trick, will see them top of the table at Christmas 2015 and with a healthy five point advantage over closest rivals Hepthorne Lane who didn't play. As for Britannia the defeat was their fifth in what has been, so far at least, a very disappointing campaign. A goal from Steven Webster was all Tibshelf Town needed to secure all three points in their game at Clowne Wanderers.

FC Utd of Bolsover recorded their eighth win in eleven starts to move six points clear at the top of TWO. Opponents Brampton Rovers JMA fought hard and scored three times however two Josh Parfitt goals plus one each from Ash Cheetham, Jack Weaver and Jake Wharton handed Utd the points. Clowne Wanderers Reserves just edged past New Whitt by a goal to nil, Robson the scorer whilst West End Killamarsh beat Matlock Town Wanderers in a high scoring game by five goals to three.

In THREE two games were played and both ended in away wins. Pilsley Community visited Red Lion Whitt Moor and won 2-1, Tom Newman and Steve Wright scoring the winning goals for the visitors and Newbold beat hosts Brimington Utd 3-1.

Three teams are level on twenty-two points in FOUR ahead of the Christmas break. Heading the division are Crown Killamarsh who beat Brampton Rovers 2-1. In second place are Brampton Oak Sports for whom Derrick Miller scored twice as they beat Spartans 5-2. Making up the trio of twenty-two point sides are previous leaders Brampton Rovers. Club FC endured a torrid time agains a free scoring Butchers Arms side who rattled eight goals past them, three of them scored by Mark Woods, two by Ryan Lindley and one each by Dominic Virgilio, Callum Virgilio and Lee Whelton. Brimington Utd Shoes beat Old Whittington MW in fine style by six goals to two. Duckmanton Community’s woes continued as they went down 6-2 to New All Inn.

Renishaw Rangers will take some stopping in FIVE following an impressive 7-2 victory at Gardeners Clay Cross that saw them move seven points clear at the top of the table. Karl Knowles hit a treble in the victory, Ant Deane and Mark Robinson two goals apiece. Gate Inn North Wingfield survived a late scare to beat Harleys Scarlets in a close fought game by three goals to two. Goals from Josh Hardy, Dave Kirk and Josh Mallinder had put them 3-1 up with ten minutes remaining when Scarlets scored from the penalty spot to make for a nervy ending to the game.

In SIX Astwith All Stars went on a goal scoring spree. Astwith put opponents Steelmelters to the sword as Justin Deakin and Craig Young scored twice, Darren Fantom, Iaffy Gwinddi, Billy Pearson, Brad Waalker and Micky Saville once. There were seven goals in the game between Palterton Sporting Club and Evolution, this time however the sides were more evenly matched, Evolutions Harry Oakley’s hat trick proving to be decisive in his sides 4-3 win.

Just two games in SEVEN and both were close run affairs as a goal each from Gavin Sambrook and James Thompson earned Ye Olde Nags Head a 2-1 win over Britannia Tupton, whilst Renishaw Rangers TFC and Dronfield Town drew 1-1.

In the Hutson Cup Hasland WMC thrashed Anchor Clowne 7-0 with Matt Bower hitting a treble in the win, Marc Rawson two, Dave Richards and Nathan Wood one apiece. Whitecotes Wanderers’ Craig Megyesi hit five as they beat Markham Arms 7-2 and Brimington Club beat New Bolsover Social Club 4-0.
