Gildersome Spurs beat Woodkirk Valley to won the Cup for the fifth time

Gildersome Spurs experience in Wheatley Cup Finals showed against first time finalists Woodkirk Valley.

Gildersome led two-nil at the break with both teams enduring a heavy rain shower during the first half. Their lead was further extended in the second half opening up a five-nil lead on 84 minutes. Woodkirk Valley struck a consolation in the closing minutes.

The Final Whistle confirmed a 5-1 win for Gildersome to take the Cup for the fifth occasion.
