Four goals in each half secures the win against a spirited Athletic FC team

Wellington Westgate won the Brook Butler Cup at Liversedge with a convincing 8-0 victory over Athletic FC.

Wellinton scored their first goal after five minutes and continued to apply pressure throughout the first half. Athletic FC broke on the counter attack but could not score despite the chances. The first half was delayed due to a clash of heads which saw the Athletic player leave the pitch with swelling to the eye and cheekbone.

In the second half, Wellington added to their tally to win the Broook Brook Cup for the first time.
