Closure of the Redcar Sunday League.

After fifty years of continued operation it is with great sadness that the Redcar Sunday League will cease to operate for the 2016-2017 season due to an insufficient number of teams wanting to play in the league. The league lost a couple of clubs mid season but a mass exodus at the end of the season left the league with only 4 teams and obviously any prospective new teams saw the writing on the wall and opted to join other leagues leaving the league with no alternative but to close down and give the opportunity to the existing teams to find a place in the other leagues in order to continue playing next season.
