MATCH DAY 2 (August 27th 2023) REPORT

THRILLER AND 14 GOALS AT GAMECOCK BARRACKS !!

Match Day 2 of the saw the start of LEAGUE ONE as Royal Trent FC eased to a 7-1 victory over Bedworth Liberal FC, Trent goals coming from braces from Luke Chadwick, Connor McCallum and Liam Smith with Reigan Duffy adding the single. Anthony Cartwright scored the Liberals goal.

Swan Dive FC got off to a winning start in a 14 goal thriller coming out 9-5 winners against Bedworth Ex-Servicemen's FC in MARK BLAIR MORTGAGE & FINANCE LEAGUE 2. Ashley Gilder with 5 of the Swan Dive goals, Nathan Mcinnes with a brace and singles from Mark Bradbury and Sushant Magar with the others. 2 goals for Bailey Grant and 1 a piece from Kyle Aubrey, Harvey Westwood and Kane Borsberry with the Servicemen’s replies.

Travs FC went top with a 5-1 win over Phoenix United. Michael Hutchinson, Ben Kidd and 2 from Tyler Bates sealed the points for Travs. Josh Smith scored the Phoenix consolation.
A Scott Harris hat-trick helped Crow's Nest Sports FC to a 6-1 victory over Acorn FC. 2 goals from Liam Hill and Sam Hall completed the Crows Nest scoring. Levi Cave replied for Acorn.
Bermuda Park FC started their campaign with a win as they beat Sunnyside FC 5-0. A Steven Pywell hat-trick, Ryan Healy and an own goal with the goals

Rumour Mill FC (Barwell) came from 3-0 down to beat Attleborough Royal Oak FC Reserves 8-3 in NUNEATON TROPHIES LEAGUE 3, Matt Vineham with 5 of the Rumour Mill goals with the others coming from a Danny Winterbotham hat-trick. Darryl Greenway, Scott Hall and an own goal with the goals for Attleborough.

SS Bulls Head FC ran out 5-4 winners with goals from Kyle Andrews, Ramzi Puttock-Green, Darren Page and a Ryan Brightwell brace over Hearty Goodfellow FC Reserves. The Hearty goals coming from Ross Gandy and a father/son combo with the other 3, 2 from Joshua Wilks and 1 from Ashley Wilks.
Hinckley Wanderers FC came from 1-0 down to pick up their first win of the season winning 3-1 against Bedworth Bank FC Res Dean Croasdale, Kobi Jones and Jordan Towers with the goals. Landon Fairbrother scored the Bank goal.

Bedworth Liberal FC Reserves and Lamb and Flag FC shared the points as they drew 2-2, debutant Jack King with a quick fire brace for Lamb and Flag. Gavin Milligan and Adrian Talbot secured a point for Libs.
